Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Toledo Concert reviews
Mom's night!
"I have a lot of respect for them. Since 1978, my mother has been a fan of Chicago. She was in the 12th row for this show, and it was really great. I took her to see Mannheim Steamroller Christmas live, and she said a couple of times, "I just can't believe I'm here." It was only because Chicago AND Mannheim Steamroller Christmas put on such a great show that she was so happy. I was surprised by all the words to most of the songs hahahaha. Both bands had a lot of energy and played every song like it was their first time on tour. She looked at me and said a couple of times."
Lewis Black is Fabulous!
Having attended a local rib cook-off earlier that day, we were thoroughly impressed by his act, which included 10 minutes of brilliantly funny material. His performance showcased a mix of current and locally based content, demonstrating his intellectual, sophisticated, and humorous persona. The fellow before him, whose name escapes me, was equally fantastic, especially with his exceptional imitation of Mannheim Steamroller Christmas. Sitting in the 6th row provided a terrific view, ensuring we didn't miss out on any of the fun from his expressive facial gestures. We are looking forward to catching his show again when he returns to town.
AMAZING!
I am NOT a Mannheim Steamroller Christmas fan, let me start by saying that. I know a few of their songs by listening to the radio, but I don't have any of their CDs. Why did I buy a ticket for an artist's concert that I don't love? Well, I love going to concerts and I try to go to good ones. Now you are asking yourself.
This concert was AMAZING!! So, that being said, I was afraid with this one since it was the first on a stadium this big (around 25k people), how I was gonna see them from the 3rd floor and how the sound was going to be in an open arena. Boy, was I surprised. The show was top quality, the sound was surreal (similar to cinema surround). Their vocals were outstanding, what a nice voice!
As an artist, they were so down-to-earth and humble, that you had to love them. Add to all this, fireworks, fire motions, a HUGE clear moving screen and a water flooded stage to end the show, and you will have a show you won't forget in a long time!
If you are going to a HUGE arena like a baseball stadium, I have a suggestion. Do yourself a favor and park on the OUTSIDE of an enclosed parking lot. I spent 80 minutes parked on exactly the same spot until we started moving..!
